What can you do with WhatsApp and Priority?
- Send a customer an order confirmation or a shipping update when the status in Priority changes.
- Send a manager a morning brief: overnight orders and exceptions.
- Send a collection reminder that fits each customer's history.
- Schedule an installation or a technician visit by free technicians and parts in stock.
- Turn a salesperson's voice note into a quote in Priority.
A Make scenario or an AI agent: which fits what?
| Make scenario | AI agent through MCP | |
|---|---|---|
| When | A fixed event: a status changed, a date arrived | A conversation that needs reading, deciding and acting |
| What is sent | A message from a template | A message the agent prepares from current data |
| Writing to Priority | As the scenario defines | Only after a person approves |
| What you need | LeonAI Priority and the WhatsApp app in Make | MCP for Priority with the WhatsApp module |
How it works
Make scenario
- A fixed eventA status changed in Priority, a date arrived
- runsMake scenarioReads from Priority through LeonAI Priority
- sendsA message from a templateThrough WhatsApp Business
AI agent through MCP
- A conversation on WhatsAppThat needs reading, deciding and acting
- reads through MCP for PriorityThe agent prepares a messageFrom current data
- A person approvesBefore every write
- Recorded in Priority
Many organizations use both: a scenario for the fixed updates, and an agent for conversations that need judgment.
What does WhatsApp require?
In a Make scenario, sending from a business system goes through Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform. You need a business number and a verified business. A message the business starts outside the 24-hour window since the customer's last message is sent from a pre-approved template; inside the window you can reply freely.
Meta charges for messages by its own price list, separately from the subscription to our products.
Example: a collection reminder that does not feel like a bot
The agent reads the account
Open invoices, past payments and remarks on the customer's account in Priority.
It prepares a message
A reminder that fits the history: a customer who always pays a little late gets a different message from one with an open dispute.
A dispute goes to a person
When the customer disputes an invoice, the conversation goes to the person who knows the account.
Recorded after approval
Anything recorded in Priority, such as a remark on the account, is written only after a person approves. Every tool call is written to an audit log.
What is this not?
A marketing bot that sends mass messages is not what this guide describes, and not what we build. The connection here is between WhatsApp and the data and actions in Priority.
Common questions
- Can you connect WhatsApp to Priority without code?
- Yes, in two ways. The WhatsApp module of MCP for Priority links your number, by QR code or pairing code, to the assistant that already reads Priority. And in a Make.com scenario, the LeonAI Priority connector and Make's WhatsApp app connect Priority to Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform, by drag and drop.
- Can the agent record in Priority from a WhatsApp conversation?
- Yes, through the WhatsApp module of MCP for Priority, when writing is turned on. In a conversation every operation is shown for a person's approval first, and writing to Priority is off by default.
- Do you need WhatsApp Business?
- It depends on the route. The WhatsApp module of MCP for Priority works with your existing number, linked by QR code or pairing code. In a Make scenario, sending from a business system goes through Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform, with a business number and approved templates for messages the business starts.
- Is this a chatbot?
- No. A chatbot answers from what it was fed. Here WhatsApp is how an agent talks to people: it reads current data from Priority and acts, and a person approves before anything is recorded.
